Bryan Moore

Bryan is a Supervisory Hydrologic Technician with the Colorado Water Science Center, Western Colorado Office, in Grand Junction.

Bryan began his federal career volunteering and working for the USDA Forest Service and USDI Bureau of Land Management in different capacities. He started with the US Geological Survey in Southern Oregon, and since 2001, he has been working for the USGS in Western Colorado. He worked for many years as a multi-disciplined hydrologic technician, measuring streamflow, collecting water-quality samples, and servicing continuous water-quality monitors throughout Western Colorado. Then he became a Lead hydrologic technician, and later started his current role as a Supervisory Hydrologic Technician in 2015. He oversees the operation of the Western Colorado Streamflow Program and supervises an amazing team of hydrologic technicians who operate approximately 120 streamgage stations and about 40 precipitation and reservoir monitoring locations. His focus has always been on producing the best possible water data for cooperators, agencies, and the public, and now he has the satisfaction of invigorating, educating, and supporting others to do the same.
