Jaime Delano

Jaime Delano is a geologist supporting the Intermountain West team. She primarily studies past earthquakes in order to understand the seimic hazard of the future. 

Biography

Research Interests

I am interested in understanding Quaternary tectonic deformation and earthquake records to better quantify seismic hazard. I have experience using high-resolution topographic data (e.g. lidar, structure-from-motion) and remote mapping techniques coupled with geochronology to identify active faults and understand their history of activity. I have been involved in projects in the Pacific Northwest, Central U.S., and the Basin and Range Province in the western U.S. 

I am also interested in communicating ongoing projects to the general public.
