Jon Janowicz
Jon Janowicz is the Associate Director for Investigations for the New Jersey Water Science Center in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
Jon manages programs for surface water, water quality and groundwater science. His staff of 35 scientists conduct research and produce reports, maps, models, code and data for cooperators within New Jersey and across the United States.
Jon supports the management of the USGS NEPA compliance reviews of Environmental Impact Statements from other federal agencies for USGS Headquarters.
Professional Experience
Jon began working for the USGS in January 2016 after working 16 years with the National Flood Insurance Program within FEMA on Coastal and Riverine Flood Insurance Studies & Rate Maps and All-Hazards Mitigation Planning.
Education and Certifications
He holds a BS and MS in Agricultural Engineering from Michigan State University.
He is a USGS Certified Level II Contract Officer’s Technical Representative.
