Karen Slaght

I am a biological laboratory technician at the Hammond Bay Biological Station, a research facility which concentrates on research related to sea lamprey control in the Great Lakes.

I received my bachelor's degree in biology in 1988 from Northern Michigan University and began working  at Hammond Bay shortly after that. My work includes quality assurance testing of lampricide (chemical that controls sea lampreys), bioassays, fish culture, and any technical support needed for ongoing research.
