Lance Clampitt

Lance Clampitt is the Hazards Focus Area Coordinator for User Engagement, National Geospatial Program (NGP).  He also serves as the USGS Liaison to US Northern Command, is the NGP Emergency Response Coordinator and Chair of the USGS Geospatial Information Response Team (GIRT). 

Lance Clampitt is a Physical Scientist who coordinates the Programs' Hazards Focus Area. As the Hazards Data Coordinator he and his staff work with other Federal, State, and local data users to enhance or improve NGP products and services that support natural hazards mitigation and to provide data access to the hazards community.  Lance also supports the geospatial needs of the bureau as the NGP, Emergency Response Coordinator and works closely with Department of the Defense partners as the liaison to the U.S. Northern Command. Lance serves as Chair (2015 – present) of the USGS, Geospatial Information Response Team (GIRT) which coordinates and communicates USGS geospatial resources in support of natural disaster events.
