Lowell Abbadini
Lowell's primary responsibilities are maintaining streamgages, field data collection, and processing surface water and groundwater records. He is also an Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) instructor and serves as the Training Co-Lead and the Field Innovation Team Lead.
Lowell's most recent project includes installing and monitoring a Large-Scale Particle Image Velocimetry (LSPIV) test system. This system estimates velocity of the water in the stream from video data and can provide nearly continuous stream discharge.
Lowell has previously worked as a Hydrologic Technician in New York, Idaho, and Puerto Rico.
