Peter Lindstrom has been the Information Technology (IT) Lead/Coordinator for the Southwest Biological Science Center (SBSC) since June of 2020. He and the rest of the IT staff support both personal computers and servers, and assist center researchers with data management and code development.
Peter's professional interests include automating business processes, integrating spatial and non-spatial data, and helping scientists do more with their data. Before coming to USGS, SBSC, and Flagstaff, Peter worked for 19 years as a Cartographic Technician, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist, and Data Manager for the National Park Service in some iconic western locations - Grand Teton National Park, Carlsbad Caverns National Park, Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks, and Yosemite National Park. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology (with multiple minors, including Computer Science) from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH.
