Roy McCullough


Roy McCullough arrived at the USGS in late 1996, initially in a contractor position, becoming a federal employee in early 1997.  He has served in roles ranging from mainframe security support to general Windows server support, and his present position as an IT security specialist.  In 2000 he received his certification as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) on the Windows NT platform.  In 2002 he received his certification from (ISC)2 as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).  Prior to coming to USGS, he held positions as an application programmer and systems programmer at corporations including GEICO Insurance, Perpetual Savings Bank, and Sprint Communications.  He obtained his B.S. in Business Management at West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV in 1980 and an A.A. in Computer Programming Technology from Potomac State College, Keyser, WV in 1977.
