Thesis research focused on numeric modelling of flow around rock vanes constructed for erosion protection along the outer bank of river bends. Aim of research is to develop a quantitative method for the design of rock vanes, accounting for bend geometry, vane geometry, and flow approach velocity.

I began working with the USGS in fall 2018 as an intern with the pathways program. Before coming to the USGS, I worked for several different employers including DOWL’s water resources office in Billings, the Montana Department of Transportation, and the CH2M Hill Plateau Remediation Company.
