Steven Tessler, Ph.D.


Before joining the federal government in 1993 I enjoyed applied research in biomedical labs (sperm motility, schistosomes), ecological field studies (spiders, mountain streams), and teaching on subjects from snails to whales. My federal govt work, starting at NPS and then moving to USGS, has focused on advancing professional data management and best practices in support of applied science.
