I am an IT Specialist for the New England Water Science Center (NEWSC). I began my USGS career in Reston, Virginia working with the Lotus Notes Group. I was a member of the SharePoint Help Desk, and worked with the group that initially launched EARS for The USGS. I also took the lead on A&A for the INFRA Group. I was one of the ROPC's for OEI Property, a role I continue to provide in NE, and I was the Property Lead during my final year in Reston. When I moved to New England I was working as a COUA, and the contracts I handled included CHS, Oracle, SAS, and WebEx. Upon relocating to the Connecticut Office of the NEWSC, I accepted a position as an IT Specialist where my job responsibilities include maintaining the Avaya Phone System for all the the NE Centers, maintaining the servers in Connecticut, configuring new users in Active Directory, SCCM, and additional systems to provide them with the tools they need to do their job in the WSC, and resolving any hardware/software issues users might have. I am a member of the team that cutover the new SharePoint IT Knowledge Base, and I continue to work on updating the site with current information. I am the Property Lead for the IT Group, and deal with ordering new equipment, recycling equipment, and keeping our property list up to date. I have an A.A. in Network Administration from the University of Phoenix.
