USGS EROS Archive - Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) - HRPT Coverage Map
HRPT Ground Station Network Coverage Map
USGS EROS Archive - Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) - Global Land 1-km Data Set Project
Data Acquisition, Archiving, and Management Plan (Original) February 14, 1992
USGS EROS Archive - Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) - HRPT Ground Station Network
High Resolution Picture Transmission System (HRPT) Ground Station Network
USGS EROS Archive - Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) - Orbital Pass Generation and Stitching
Orbital Pass Generation Nearly 45,000 individual observations were acquired during the first 30 months of this project. The number of individual scenes and overall data volume, an estimated 4.0 terabytes, are large by contemporary standards. As a result a new process was developed to improve data management.
USGS EROS Archive - Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) - Sensor Characteristics
Background The Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) is a broad-band, four or five channel (depending on the model) scanner, sensing in the visible, near-infrared, and thermal infrared portions of the electromagnetic spectrum. This sensor is carried on NOAA's Polar Orbiting Environmental Satellites (POES), beginning with TIROS-N in 1978.
USGS EROS Archive - Aerial Photography - Advanced Solid-state Array Spectroradiometer (ASAS)
The Advanced Solid-state Array Spectroradiometer (ASAS) data collection contains data collected by the ASAS sensor flown aboard NASA aircraft.
USGS EROS Archive - Aerial Photography - MASTER - MODIS/ASTER Airborne Simulator
MASTER - MODIS/ASTER Airborne Simulator
USGS EROS Archive - Aerial Photography - Space Acquired Photography
Photos taken from the International Space Station (ISS), Shuttle, Skylab, Gemini, and Apollo missions. (1965 - present)
USGS EROS Archive - Aerial Photography - Side-Looking Airborne Radar (SLAR) Mosaics
The Side-Looking Airborne Radar (SLAR) is an image-producing system that derives its name from the fact that the radar beam is transmitted from the side of the aircraft during data acquisition.
USGS EROS Archive - Aerial Photography - South Dakota Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Section Photography
Natural color aerial photographs acquired by a 35mm camera systems over 33 counties in eastern South Dakota. Farm Service Agency (FSA) acquired yearly imagery from 1979 through 2002.
USGS EROS Archive - Aerial Photography - Public Affairs Office (PAO) Image Gallery
The Public Affairs Office (PAO) Image Gallery collection is composed of a wide variety of data ranging from low altitude aircraft to satellite to NASA imagery. Dates span from the early ‘70’s to present.
