Walter Ferrell Killion

Biography

I retired out of the United States Marine Corps in 2001, armed with the GI bill I attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas and aquired my Bachelors in Geology and my Masters in Geochemistry.  I started working as a STEP (Hydrologic Technician 1316) In June of 2006 while attending the University of Arkansas.  I was hired as a full time employee in 2007 as a Hydrologic Technician in the Fayetteville Field office of the Arkansas Water Science Center.

As a Hydrologic Technician I am called on to perform a myriad of task.  The construction and implemintation and maintance of various data collection platforms and systems.  These systems carry a full suite of parameters from aqueous chemistry to surface water hydraulics.  The data is then analyzed and archived.
