Updated shutdown/furlough guidance – new Legal Advisory from the Office of Government Ethics (OGE)- NTK Announcement- February 18, 2019

On February 15, 2019, the Ethics Office posted the following announcement on the USGS internal website, @theCore.  The announcement was included in a Need To Know e-mail to all USGS employees the following Monday, February 18, 2019.

OGE has issued Legal Advisory (LA-19-01) Guidance for Employees in Non-Pay Status During a Lapse in Appropriations (Feb 15, 2019).

Legal Advisory (LA-19-01) will be posted to the Ethics Office website (a public website, accessible from any computer or device). Questions regarding the Legal Advisory should be sent to EthicsOffice@usgs.gov.
