Geospatial Datasets of the Hydrogeology of Unconsolidated and Bedrock Aquifers along the Salmon River Corridor from the Adirondack Foothills to the St. Lawrence Lowlands, Franklin County, New York
This data release contains shapefiles and a raster delineating boundaries and features associated with an investigation of the hydrogeology of unconsolidated and bedrock aquifers along the Salmon River corridor near Malone, New York (Fisher and others, 2025). Included shapefiles depict the approximate potentiometric surface of the Potsdam Sandstone, aquifer types, bedrock exposures, bedrock geology, Ellenburg ice margin, eskers, extent of glacial Lake Iroquois, glacial lineations, hydrogeologic sections, overburden thickness contours, water supply boundary, study area boundary, surficial geology, valley fill aquifer boundary, and the locations of verified wells and borings. The interpolated overburden thickness is also included as a raster.
