There have been 24 south vent overflows since 9 a.m. HST this morning. The last one went from 18:50 to 20:03 and had sustained dome fountains approximately 30 feet (10 meters) high. Most of the rest of the overflows were short-lived.

Intermittent overflows have been alternating between the north and south vents in irregular cycles all afternoon and evening. Magma remains high in the conduit and episode 37 fountains are forecast for Nov 21-25 with Nov 22-24 most likely.

Both the south and north vents overflowed at the same time from 10:27 to 10:36 am HST. A second overflow from the north vent took place from 10:42 to 10:54 am HST. Multiple precursory overflows are expected prior to episode 37 fountains.

The south vent overflowed from 9:27-9:39 am HST indicating magma is high in the vent. The degassed flow was short and sluggish. Precursory overflows preceded the last several fountaining episodes and more are expected prior to episode 37.

Resend for X. Short bursts, under 1 minute, of spattering from the north vent occurred at 9:20 pm and 9:28 pm HST tonight. More vigorous bursts occurred from 9:46 to 9:52 pm HST. V1 camera was rebooted to remove lag and V3 was zoomed in.

Lava overflowed the south vent 4 times this morning starting at around 1:40 am HST and continuing to now. Flows are 100-200 feet long. The north vent continued to fill and drain periodically and had 2 small overflows this morning.
Kilauea Message 2025-11-03 01:58:48 HST
There have been 2 more events where small lava flows barely cleared the lip of the vent prior to drainback. The past 2 episodes have been preceded by 1-2 days of small overflows as degassed magma was pushed from the vent. More are expected.
