Due to a lapse in appropriations, the majority of USGS websites may not be up to date and may not reflect current conditions. Websites displaying real-time data, such as Earthquake and Water and information needed for public health and safety will be updated with limited support. Additionally, USGS will not be able to respond to inquiries until appropriations are enacted. For more information, please see www.doi.gov/shutdown
Oklahoma Water Science Center
The USGS Oklahoma Water Science Center has collected and interpreted data about the distribution, availability, and quality of water in Oklahoma since 1898. Center staff operate a network of streamgages, lake gages, real-time water-quality monitors, and groundwater-level recorder wells and write interpretive reports about State water issues.
Welcome to the USGS Oklahoma Water Science Center Web page! The data that we collect and interpretive reports that we write are used to minimize loss of life and property; manage water resources, enhance and protect the quality of life, and contribute to sustainable economic development.
