Summer Burdick, Fish Biologist

WFRC’s, Summer Burdick was recently featured along with many of our partners in Oregon Public Broadcasting’s Oregon Field Guide. The story looks at the efforts underway in the Klamath Basin to save the Shortnose and Lost River suckers, including research to answer questions about the causes of their decline. Summer has been working in the Klamath and Columbia River basins for over 16 years and is well respected for her applied quantitative approach to understanding the interface between water availability and the ecology of at-risk fish species.
