The provided 2021 Utah Integrated Monitoring of Bird Conservation Regions (IMBCR) dataset contains avian detection data for each of three bird species (downy woodpecker, olive-sided flycatcher, yellow warbler) breeding in Utah, USA considered in the related manuscript. Data were collected by IMBCR partners during the breeding season from stratified survey grid locations. Each survey grid is approximately 1km by 1km with up to 16 point count locations within in 250m spacing intervals. All individual birds are recorded during a survey of up to 6minutes, with time of detection and distance of each individual being recorded. Survey locations are sampled once per year (see Pavlacky et al. 2017 PLoS One). In addition to individual detection data, the dataset includes survey information on time, date, observer, and grid cell ID, and environmental covariate data including percent cover of landcover types within a 120m radius, elevation, temperature, and precipitation which are used in occurrence analyses and simulations.
