Geochemistry and mineralogy of mill tailings from the Ducktown mining district, Tennessee, USA
These .csv files contain data on the bulk mineralogy and geochemistry of tailings samples from the Ducktown volcanogenic massive sulfide mining district in Tennessee, USA. The reported geochemistry was collected using inductively-coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy/mass spectrometry (ICP-OES/MS), wavelength-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (WDXRF), lead fire assay-inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometry (FA-ICP-MS), and total carbon, total sulfur, and carbonate carbon by LECO instrumentation, and is presented in the file named "Ducktown_geochemistry.csv". The powder X-ray diffraction (pXRD) data were collected using cobalt radiation and the results interpreted using the Rietveld refinement method in Malvern Panalytical HighScore Plus version 4.8. Two .csv files are provided that represent the unprocessed diffraction scans for each of the two samples ("03CB033_Co.csv" and "03CB034_Co.csv") and an additional .csv file is provided ("Ducktown_mineralogy.csv) with the semi-quantitative mineralogy results based on the Rietveld refinements.
