Predicted distributions of 20 sensitive species for the years 2060, 2075, and 2090 in New Mexico under two different carbon emission scenarios

January 5, 2026

This dataset contains modeled distributions for 20 species under two separate emission scenarios to inform conservation opportunity areas in new Mexico. A main objective of our study was to understand how well the current portfolio of conservation areas (SWAP Conservation Opportunity Areas and Important Plant Areas) in New Mexico would serve as refugia for species at risk with a changing climate.
