Sagebrush ecosystem carbon stocks before and ten years after fuel treatments in the Intermountain West, USA

This dataset includes subplot-level ecosystem carbon stocks and functional plant group cover prior to fuel-treatment and ten years after fuel-treatment. Carbon pools include live trees, burned trees, tree litter, shrubs, annual herbaceous vegetation, perennial herbaceous vegetation, dead herbaceous vegetation, coarse woody debris, interspace litter, interspace roots, soil organic carbon, soil inorganic carbon, shrub roots, and tree roots. Soils data were collected at 15 centimeter increments down to 90 centimeters or until an impenetrable layer was reached.
