July 26, 2026

This data release reports electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) and laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) data from glass grains in tephra from Hiʻonamoa Gulch, on the southeastern flank of Mauna Loa volcano, Island of Hawaiʻi. The samples were collected from an outcrop approximately two meters thick located at latitude 19.2995 and longitude -155.57744 (World Geodetic System 1984 [WGS84] datum) and elevation of 2,135 m (7,005 ft). Data for five samples are reported.
