Telemetry data of desert kit foxes near solar facilities in southern California, 2022-2025
May 18, 2026
We captured and collared desert kit foxes in three populations near solar facilities in the Sonoran and Mojave Deserts, California, between November 2022 and January 2023 and in January 2024. This dataset includes telemetry records collected from 21 collared foxes from November 2022 to January 2025. We used these data to estimate home-range sizes for each fox and to evaluate habitat use of foxes in and near solar facilities.
