Wireline geophysical LAS logs for the Lewis Shale from the USGS Cow Creek 1-21 well in Carbon County, Wyoming
This data release contains 5 Log ASCII Standard (LAS) files related to wireline geophysical logging of the USGS Cow Creek 1-21 well. The well was drilled and cored in 2022 and targeted the Lewis Shale on the eastern edge of the Washakie Basin in Carbon County, Wyoming. A comprehensive wireline geophysical logging suite and continuous core were obtained from the ground surface to approximately 620 feet. These data help advance the understanding of the stratigraphy, rock and fluid properties, and depositional environment of potential source rocks within the Lewis Shale. The geophysical data include natural gamma ray, total gamma ray, spectral gamma ray, resistivity, conductivity, density, neutron, nuclear magnetic resonance, and photoelectric effect. These data are associated with the larger work journal article which will be published at a later date.
