USGS Director David Applegate stopped by the Raleigh, NC office to discuss ongoing USGS activities and also presented Length of Service Awards to several SAWSC employees. Director Applegate was in Raleigh as one of the speakers at the annual Association of State Floodplain Managers conference. The conference included a workshop demonstrating USGS applications and tools StreamStats, Flood Event Viewer (FEV), Flood Inundation Mapper (FIM) and FloodWIDE.
