The upper left portion shows a cross section of a breccia pipe and rock layers (far upper left) in a panoramic view of the Grand Canyon. The upper right depicts rock pinnacles that the Havasupai Tribe call Wi’i Gileeva. The drawing shows a typical breccia pipe uranium mine site where soil is sampled. Other features in this drawing highlight how scientists study local plant and animal species, as well as measure water quality and collect aquatic invertebrates.
