Martin S Fitzpatrick

I am the Deputy Director of the USGS Forest and Rangeland Ecosystem Science Center and a courtesy Associate Professor in the Department of Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Sciences at Oregon State University.

I grew up in Oregon, received my undergraduate degree in Biology from Harvard University in Cambridge, MA, and earned my M.S. and Ph.D. in Fisheries Science from Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR. I served on the faculty of Oregon State University between 1991 and 2000, developed water quality standards for the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality between 2000 and 2006, and then came to USGS Forest and Rangeland Ecosystem Science Center in 2006.
