My name is Kristen Bennett. I'm at the Astrogeology Science Center and I've been there since 2018. It's actually been almost exactly four years this month, which is exciting, and so my background is in planetary geology. I look at, I'm interested in the surfaces of different planets. In the past I've mostly studied Mars and the moon. I started out by investigating the moon and I'm specifically interested in looking at volcanic deposits on the moon and understanding how the differences between explosive eruptions and effusive eruptions happen on the moon and what that means, and then for Mars, which is more applicable to this this project, I've been mostly looking at sedimentary deposits on Mars trying to understand what that can tell us about the ancient Martian climate.
