Terrestrial Analog - Meet Lauren

I'm Lauren Edgar. I'm a research geologist at the USGS astrogeology Science Center here in Flagstaff AZ and I've been there for about 7 years now my background is in sedimentology and stratigraphy I first got into planetary science more on the Mars side of things, so I work on the curiosity Mars Rover mission. I also previously worked on the Mars exploration rovers and one thing that has always come up in our exploration of other planets is that we need to firmly understand processes on earth before we try and understand them elsewhere and so that's where this whole terrestrial analogue side of things came in.
