100 gummy bears represents all of Earth's water

This image is for an activity for teachers during Earth Science Week 2021. Each gummy bear represents one percent of Earth's total water. Students are guided to split the bears into two piles to guess how much of Earth's water is salty and how much of Earth's water is fresh. Then, they are asked to guess how much of Earth's freshwater is frozen vs. liquid.
