20 Mule Team Canyon

The entrance to the one-way unpaved drive, 20 Mule Team Canyon Road, is located about 3 miles southeast of Furnace Creek Inn on Highway 190. The road winds through badlands mostly in the soft, eroding sediments of the Artist Drive Formation (Pliocene) (Hunt and Mabey, 1966; McAllister, 1976). This view is looking south toward the Hole-In-The-Wall ridge and the Funeral Mountains in the distance.
