Louisiana Water Science Center Director George Arcement demonstrates to Congressional staffers how to find real-time information using the USGS streamgage network. USGS streamgages play a critical role in helping the US Army Corps of Engineers make river management decisions, such as when to open the Morganza and Bonnet Carre Spillways and how wide to open them.
