Detailed Description

USGS researchers at the Vermont Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit have released AMMonitor 2, an R package designed for remote wildlife monitoring. An R package is a collection of documentation, data, and functions that allow users to reuse the code and tools for tasks such as machine learning, visualization, statistical analysis, and data manipulation. AMMonitor stands for ‘monitoring for adaptive management'. Adaptive management may help ensure that decisions remain effective and responsive to changes and new scientific knowledge, that may ultimately lead to better conservation for fish, wildlife, and their habitats.
