Detailed Description
View of Casa Grande, a mesa preserving a record of the Tertiary volcanism in the Chisos Mountains. In this area, volcanic breccias and ashflows are capped by volcanic (rhyolite) flows. This view is from the Lost Mine Trail. The trail begins at the pass between Green Gulch and the Basin along the Chisos Mountains Basin access road.
