Detailed Description

This west-flowing stream draining from the Temblor Range cuts through the Panorama Hills. These hills are uplifted along the Elkhorn escarpment of the San Andreas Fault. This dirt road is in the vicinity of the Elkhorn Plain Ecological Reserve near the central-eastern side of the national monument. The Caliente Range on the western side of the monument is in the distance.
