Detailed Description
Public access areas at Aztec Ruins National Monument include restored ruins (West Ruin shown here) near the Visitor Center/Museum. However, protected and unrestored ruins occur throughout the hillsides and on the floodplain of the Animas River, but these areas are currently closed to the public.
