Bruce Molnia standing at the Geographic South Pole

In 1987, while detailed to the National Research Council’s Polar Research Board, I traveled to Antarctica. This photograph of me standing at the Geographic South Pole was taken by my colleague Paul Dalrymple, who first worked in Antarctica in 1957.
