Canyon De Chelly - contrast between sandstones

Note the contrast between the high cross stratification in the DeChelly Sandstone (Permian age) and the stark contrast in rock color and appearance across the disconformity and the gray conglomeratic sandstone of the Shinarump Conglomerate (Triassic).
