Canyonlands - the Needles District

This zoom view from Grand View Point is of the Needles District in late afternoon light. The inner canyon of the Colorado River crosses the center of the image. North of The Confluence (where the Green and Colorado Rivers join) the canyon of the Colorado River is called Meander Canyon. The Colorado River canyon south of The Confluence is called Cataract Canyon.
