Cedar Breaks - view from the Supreme View Overlook

This view is looking west from the Supreme View Overlook near the park visitor center near the south entrance to the park. Sedimentary rocks of Early Tertiary age crop out in the Cedar Breaks. The Red Member and White Member of the Paleocene and Eocene Claron Formation make up the upper part of the Cedar Breaks ( Hatfield and others, 2000; McDonald, 1972). Brian Head Peak is on the center horizon.
