Members of the U.S. Geological Survey and Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA), Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E), and other partners, participate in a The Critical Mineral Assessment with AI Support (CriticalMAAS) project in Reston, Virginia, January 14, 2025. The collaborative project is aimed to develop machine-learning tools to accelerate key and often time-consuming parts of USGS data interpretation, potentially accelerating the work time from years to days.
