Degassing and rockfalls from the eastern side of Halema‘uma‘u

On June 24 a small plume rose above the crater rim following a seismic event at at 4:12 pm HST (image taken at 4:27 pm). Note that the area had been covered in clouds and that the plume is just visible at the rim, in the center left of the image.
