Geologist Sam Isgett is measuring the temperature within the cracks at fissure 10 in Leilani Estates subdivision. The maximum temperature measured was 275C, and there has not been an appreciable increase in temperature over the past few days. Sulfur precipitate is the yellow color on the ground - it is deposited as sulfur dioxide is emitted from the cracks. (Photo taken June 18)
