Detailed Description
Lake Louise is a glacial lake located within Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. The water in the lake often exhibits a turquoise colour which comes from rock flour (fine-grained, silt-sized particles of rock) carried into the lake by melt-water from the glaciers that overlook the lake. Kayaking and canoeing are popular activities during summer while in winter the lake can be used for ice fishing and ice skating. (Wikipedia)
