Detailed Description

Colorado River terrace gravels crop out nearly 1,200 feet (360 m) above the Colorado River level (below the dam). These caliche-cemented gravels are probably Pliocene age, deposited before modern Glen Canyon formed (Doelling and Willis, 2006).
