Keys View (San Gorgonio Pass)
Detailed Description
This west-facing view from Keys View is looking toward San Gorgonio Pass (Mt. San Jacinto is on the left). San Gorgonio Pass (summit 2,600 feet above mean sea level) is the location of an extensive wind-powered generation facility. The hillsides in the foreground consist of high-grade metamorphic rocks (migmatite) that crop out in the western Little San Bernardino Mountains (Wooden and others, 2001).
