This illustration displays images created from data acquired by a (left) medium-resolution sensor, such as Landsat, compared to a (right) high-resolution sensor. Notice the pixelation in the left image, and the clarity in the right image.
These images show the USGS EROS Center, near Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
