Minerals with Net Import Reliance on China

Detailed Description
Mineral Commodities with Net Import Reliance on China
USGS collects the Nation’s data on the global production, supply, demand and trade of minerals to inform strategic policy, trade and land-use decisions.
This chart shows the percent of U.S. consumption of each commodity met by imports in 2024, with the estimated percent of consumption met by imports from China averaged over 2020-2023. From 2020-2023, the U.S. imported at least 29 mineral commodities from China.
