Mini-Observatory at the Bottom of the Pacific
Detailed Description
Two University of North Carolina landers flank the GEOMAR Bubble Box, which sits atop a methane seep at the bottom of the ocean off the coast of Oregon. While the Bubble Box takes pictures of the bubbles coming out of the seep, the UNC landers will conduct experiments on bacteria in the ocean water.
